As an evolving research topic in recent years, transaction platforms are changing industries and their business models. Adding to this research stream, our current publication in the Technovation Journal, authored by Viktoria Leutheuser, Prof. Julian Müller and Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, deals with transaction platforms as a lever for business model innovation.
Using a systematic literature review of relevant studies from recent years, this study sheds light on the impact on the business models of industrial companies and, based on the literature, offers three combinations of business model innovation:
