New Book Chapter Published: Innovation Hurdle Race

We are pleased to announce the recent publication of the book chapter “Innovation Hurdle Race: Practical Insights in Promoting the Innovation Capability of a Leading German Software Company” in the Springer book Holistic Innovation.

The chapter explores how innovation barriers —both internal and external— can hinder innovation processes in companies. Based on the External Environment and Organization Group Individual Barrier Model, the authors present a comprehensive framework to understand these obstacles. A detailed case study of the German software provider DATEV eG illustrates how targeted strategies such as structured innovation portfolios, clear field orientation, and intrapreneurship programs can effectively enhance innovation capabilities.

We sincerely thank the authors Selina Endress, Daniel Kiel, Lars Deppe, and Kai-Ingo Voigt for their valuable contribution to research and practice in the field of innovation management.
