Innovation Insights with Dr. Andreas Volek
On May 14th, Prof. Voigt and his team were honored to once again welcome Dr. Andreas Volek, Head of Strategic Innovation Management at Diehl, for a compelling Guest Lecture for the course “Industrielles Management”.

With practical examples and strategic tools such as the Diehl Trend Radar, Wild Cards, and Scenario Planning, he demonstrated how innovation can be made tangible and manageable even in uncertain environments.
He also explained the growing impact of generative AI and large language models on strategic innovation work—highlighting not only the opportunities but also the challenges these technologies bring to established innovation systems. The guest lecture concluded with a lively discussion with the students.
