For the seventh time, Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt and Prof. Dr. Ralf P. Thomas (CFO of Siemens AG) had the pleasure to welcome the new class of the Siemens EMBA „International Leadership and Finance“. Normally, the kick-off takes place in Feldafing – Siemens’ Global Leadership Center. However, due to Covid-19, this year, for the first time ever, Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Dr. Christian Baccarella, and Lukas Maier kicked off the starting module “Innovation” digitally. For a whole week, 24 hand-picked high potentials of Siemens, Siemens Healthineers, and Siemens Energy (coming from all over the world) worked on and discussed about contemporary aspects of Technology and Innovation Management.

One of the highlights was the guest lecture of next47, Siemens’ very own global venture firm in Munich. Many thanks Gert Wrigge (part of the Next47 Investment Team), Matthias Roth and Severin Hämmerl (part of the Next47 Create Team), and Svetoslav Simeonov (part of the Next47 Finance Team) for giving us a brilliant overview into their work and their upcoming projects!

Another highlight was a great guest lecture by Dr. Norbert Luetke-Entrup (Head of Technology and Innovation Management @Siemens). Norbert gave many fascinating insights into Siemens’ Innovation Strategy and discussed interesting topics in the field of Technology and Innovation Management with the executives of the course.

The SIEMENS EMBA „International Leadership and Finance“, delevoped and designed in cooperation with the FAU and the Siemens AG, is primarily aimed at leading young professionals from several divisions, departments and regions, nominated by a member of the Finance-Leadership-Team under the patronage of Siemens CFO Prof. Dr. Ralf P. Thomas.
