Keynote speech at the cluster meeting „Digitalization of production – breaking new ground with the blockchain“
On this Tuesday Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt and Marc Rücker attended the cluster meeting „Digitalization of Production“ at Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH. After an exciting introduction by Prof. Marion Merklein, Holder of the „Lehrstuhl für Fertigungstechnologie“ and Director of the „Neue Materialien Fürth GmbH“, Prof. Voigt presented the results of the Emerging Fields Initiative „Sustainable Smart Industry“. At the event organized by Bayern Innovativ and Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern, he could give insights into how to make industry much more sustainable.
After this keynote, potentials of the blockchain technology were demonstrated and discussed in a plenum. The demonstration of an IoT press using blockchain to improve the quality of components completed this very successful cluster meeting.
