From September 13th to 14th, the Hamburg International Conference of Logistics, under the excellence supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kersten, Director of the Institute of Logistics and General Management at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), took place again. This year’s focus was on digital tools and applications designed to support the Supply Chain Management of the future. Prof. Voigt and Prof. Julian Müller, Senior Researcher at the Salzburg University of Appiled Sciences and former research assistant at the Chair of Industrial Management, presented the paper Supplier Integration in Industry 4.0 – Requirements and Strategies. Our fellow researcher, Johannes Veile, was also involved in the editing of this conference contribution.

In addition to exciting discussions and the establishing of new contacts, Prof. Voigt had the opportunity to try out an all-electric race car, which was designed and built by TUHH students.

We look forward to the HICL next year and will certainly be back!
