On November 8th, Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt and Lauren Mackintosh followed the invitation of Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann to join his hybrid lecture series on “Entrepreneurial Solutions for Social Problems”.

In the seminar room as well as in zoom, students and other interested listeners followed the presentation by Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt on sustainable innovations and ways to motivate consumers to behave more sustainably. Further, Lauren gave insights into their work on the BMBF-funded Project BIOTEXFUTURE publicly for the first time. Specifically, she presented the results of an AI-driven social media analysis to find out what people know and think about products made of bio-based materials. After the presentation, there was a lively discussion with participants in the classroom as well as in zoom with many interesting questions and remarks on the presented topic.

We warmly thank Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann and his team for hosting this event and look forward to the upcoming lectures of this series!
