The Chair of Industrial Management feels honoured that today, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Russwurm followed our invitation to give a digital guest lecture for our courses “Technology and Innovation Management“, “Innovation“ and “Industrielles Management”.

The President of the BDI (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.) provided us with first-hand insights into digitalization and sustainability, and specifically focussed on their impacts on resilience, i.e. the capacity to withstand discontinuities and adapt to new risks. We learned that several internal and external factors contribute towards entrepreneurial resilience, and that in both digitalization plays an outstanding role. Especially through the current pandemic situation, digitalization and sustainability are being pushed forward by companies to compete in the challenging market environment.

Prof. Voigt and his team would like to express our highest appreciation to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Russwurm for taking the time to be with us and for providing us with these profound insights. We are already looking forward to welcoming him again at the Chair of Industrial Management!
