Moving Academic Commemoration for Professor Dr. Werner Pfeiffer
On November 15, more than 150 guests and colleagues attended an Academic Ceremony in honor of Professor Dr. Werner Pfeiffer who passed away on May 22nd this year at the age of 85 years. Prestigious speakers like FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger and the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm, valued the academic achievements and personal merits of Professor Pfeiffer as Chairman of the Chair of Industrial Management (“Industriebetriebslehre”) from 1971 to 1998, as well as his outstanding leadership as Dean of our Faculty. Prof. Dr. Stefan Asenkerschbaumer, Vice President of Robert Bosch GmbH and former PhD student of Professor Pfeiffer, as well as the former members of the chair Dr. Ulrich Dörrie and Dr. Christoph Strubl, reflected upon the inspiring collaboration with Professor Pfeiffer. Prof. Voigt concluded the commemoration and invited all guests to an informal get-together where all former students and colleagues of Professor Pfeiffer shared their precious moments and experiences.
