As part of the European research network Scholarnet, Prof. Voigt followed the invitation of Prof. Todor Yalamov (Vice Dean Research Innovation and Projects at St. Kliment Ohridski University Sofia).

On Monday, 11th of October he took the opportunity to speak about digital and platform-based industrial business models. The innovative and creative lecture room allowed 150 MBA students, doctoral students and professors from the University of Sofia to attend the keynote in a hybrid format – both remotely and in person. Afterwards, Prof. Voigt, Prof. Yalamov and the audience discussed current challenges for industrial companies in Bulgaria and Germany, realizing that digital platforms have the potential to displace traditional business models in nearly every industry.

“Scholarnet” is a 24-month HORIZON 2020 project aimed at strengthening research excellence and narrowing the differences in terms of research potential between the University of Sofia, the University of Versailles, and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Prof. Voigt, Oscar Pakos and Marc Rücker thank Prof. Yalamov for the invitation, the reception and the exchange within the Scholarnet Project.
