“How AI Changed Everything” – Thought-provoking guest talk by Khaleeq Aziz (Founder and CEO of Symanto Research)

We had the great pleasure of welcoming Khaleeq Aziz, founder and CEO of Symanto Research, as a guest speaker in the MBA Digital Business & AI module “Digital Innovation and Business Models” at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, led by Kai-Ingo Voigt, Lukas Maier, and Christian Baccarella.

Khaleeq shared the story of Symanto’s journey—which began in a garage (of course) in 2010—and how the company has continuously adapted to the rapidly evolving AI landscape. One key takeaway: in a fast-moving field like AI, companies often need to pivot frequently. In fact, Symanto revisited and adjusted its strategy and business model almost every year. As part of these many changes, he presented several game-changing applications of Symanto’s technology—from due diligence and crisis monitoring to personalized messaging and brand love detection.

Moreover, a major focus of his talk was agentic AI and how Symanto integrates AI agents into its value creation process through its current Human AI Platform, which combines an agentic AI SaaS component with an AI accelerator that supports solution development and project execution, enabling a smooth transition toward client-owned platforms. One particularly interesting example was the “AI Board Room”—an AI-powered board meeting solution that supports the entire meeting process, from planning and execution to summarization. An AI agent can actively participate in the meeting, providing analytics, ideas, and decision support.
