Presenting our latest research at POMS 2025 in Atlanta
Under the motto “New Perspectives on OM for a new, better world,” this year’s conference of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) took place from May 8 – 12 in Atlanta, USA. Recognized as one of the most prestigious conferences in the field, POMS brings together researchers and practitioners from around the globe every year to discuss the latest findings from science and practice. As part of the conference, Prof. Voigt and Michael Mertel had the opportunity to present their recent study on the integration of blockchain and the internet of things (IoT) to design green interorganizational information systems. This joint work, together with Hannah Altenburg and Julian Müller, empirically investigates how blockchain and IoT can be combined to form information systems that contribute to environmental sustainability. As always, POMS was a great experience with lots of inspiration for research and teaching. And, being in Atlanta, lots of Coca Cola 🙂
