Prof. Voigt represents FAU at high-ranked meeting with Saudi Arabia‘s Deputy Minister for Education for Universities, Research and Innovation

On May 10th, Prof. Voigt attended a high-ranked meeting with Saudi Arabia‘s Deputy Minister for Education for Universities, Research and Innovation, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Sudairi in Berlin. In a personal consultation, Prof. Voigt announced the intention of FAU to strengthen the cooperation with Saudi Arabia‘s universities in research and education. In a festive ceremony, he signed and changed a Letter of Intent with Dr. Amal Shuquair, Deputy Minister for Scholarships at the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia. Representatives from other German universities like TUM and LMU also attended this event, expressing their strong interest in fostering the collaboration with Saudi Arabia.

Prof. Voigt would like to thank Houssam Maarouf, Vice President of DAFG (Deutsch-Arabische Freundschaftsgesellschaft, Berlin), for organizing this important event that may be a good and appropriate starting point for fruitful collaborations with top-ranked universities in Saudi Arabia in the near future!
