On December 1st, the BMBF-funded Project BIOTEXFUTURE started into the next period, TransitionLab3. The vision of BIOTEXFUTURE is to transform the entire textile value chain from petroleum-based to bio-based. Within the innovation space, the role of the Chair of Industrial Management at FAU is to examine consumer perceptions of bio-based products and to develop strategies to make these products attractive to the mass-market. Within the next two years, the research team consisting of Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Hannah Altenburg and Lauren Anne Mackintosh will dive deeper into consumer associations towards bio-based products and will develop concrete solutions to the so-called “attitude-behavior gap” that can be seen for sustainable products.

We are happy to be part of this fantastic research project and look forward to continuing the collaboration with the project partners RWTH Aachen, University of Bayreuth, University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Heidelberg and adidas.
