On May 21st, the Chair of Industrial Management had the pleasure to contribute to “Die Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften” with their research into sustainable innovations and consumer behavior.

At their booth, Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Dr. Lukas Maier and Lauren Mackintosh presented their current research projects into bio-based and sustainable products in the scope of the BMBF-project “BIOTEXFUTURE TransitionLab2”. Being part of this project with other universities and companies such as RWTH Aachen and adidas, the chair is looking into consumer attitudes and behaviors towards bio-based products through social media and AI. To help the visitors experience sustainable innovations, various prototypes from current research projects such as an algae-based shoe or a mushroom-leather shoe were displayed.

Prof. Dr. Voigt and the entire team would like to warmly thank the visitors for the inspiring exchange and their interest in our research!
