On January 27, the Chair of Industrial Management welcomed Katharina Boguslawski, physicist, founder, and technical creativity trainer as part of a keynote in the Organizational Creativity course.

During this keynote, Katharina used the time to provide students with insights into creativity in a business context. In this context, she first created a common understanding for the topic of creativity by clarifying the different forms of creativity (analytical, artistic and spontaneous) in exchange with the students and with the help of examples. In particular, she pointed out that it is analytical creativity that we need in everyday business and that this problem-solving form of creativity is vital for companies to come up with really useful ideas. Using simple tools, Katharina also illustrated to the students how easy it is to cultivate creativity in everyday business life, as long as there is awareness of this topic and ability. However, regardless of organizational support, Katharina also concluded by emphasizing that each person is responsible for his or her own creativity and can specifically stimulate and promote it on a daily basis.

Prof. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Dr. Oscar Pakos, and Lars Friedrich would like to thank Katharina for her passionate keynote and for sharing her creative experience in teams and companies with the students and us. Well done!
