At the prestigious Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM), held digitally from 30th July to 3rd August 2021, the Chair of Industrial Management was able to present two research papers.

The first paper entitled “Balancing Privacy and Communication in Activity-based Workspaces – A Longitudinal Study” was presented by Marc Rücker on behalf of the entire team of authors including Tobias Eismann, Martin Meinel and Kai-Ingo Voigt. The study investigates the suitability of so-called Activity-based Workspaces for higher employee performance.

The second paper is entitled “University Knowledge Inside! How and When University-Industry Collaborations Make New Products More Attractive to Consumers” and was presented by Christian Baccarella and Lukas Maier on behalf of the co-authors Martin Schreier (WU Vienna) and Kai-Ingo Voigt. This research is the first to investigate how consumers perceive university-co-developed products.

We are happy to be part of the AOM community and are looking forward to the AOM Annual Meeting 2022 in Seattle – hopefully in person again!
