On Friday, 15th January 2021, FAU-President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger and Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt had the pleasure to start the new “FAU Joint Sustainability Dialogue” with the CEO of the BMW Group Oliver Zipse – as pioneering part of an innovative FAU media production. The “FAU Joint Sustainability Dialogue” encompasses nine scientific dialogues with FAU professors of all faculties and the BMW CEO, still in production in the upcoming weeks.

Oliver Zipse and Professor Voigt discussed current strategic issues of sustainability management in the automotive industry in the fields of innovation, production and supply chain management. Hot topics were current changes in the supply chain network, ecological impacts of “Industry 4.0”, and the future market implementation of electro mobility and autonomous vehicles.

We warmly thank Mr. Zipse for his visit at FAU in Erlangen and we are looking forward to welcoming him again for the upcoming interesting talks. We keep you updated when the final video with all FAU-BMW Sustainability Dialogues is available.
