On January 31 2019, the Chair of Industrial Management was proud to welcome our longstanding member of the chair, Prof. Dr. Stefan Asenkerschbaumer, CFO and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Robert Bosch GmbH, at his alma mater FAU for two reasons:

First, Prof. Asenkerschbaumer gave an interesting guest lecture on the highly relevant topic of Industry 4.0 from a management perspective in the course “Management von Industrie 4.0”. He provided us with valuable insights about the digital and interconnected future value creation. After the presentation, the plenary used the opportunity to discuss a variety of topics with Prof. Asenkerschbaumer.

Second, Prof. Asenkerschbaumer chaired the final presentations of our well-known and popular “Industrieseminar”. This semester’s seminar was about the future of buyer-supplier relationships. Four student teams analyzed and shed light on future relationships focusing on several industry sectors, such as machine engineering, electrotechnology, automotive, and chemical industry.

Prof. Voigt and his whole team highly appreciate Prof. Asenkerschbaumer’s engagement and we are looking forward to welcoming him in the summer term again.
